1. Core Features & Settings
Access all controls via WordPress Dashboard > Revive Posts.
Revival Frequency
Choose the heartbeat of your site. You can set the plugin to pick an old post every 1 day, 2 days, or 1 week to maintain a consistent update cycle.
Time & Age Controls
- Time of Day: Specify the exact hour (00:00 to 23:00) the revival triggers. Target your peak traffic hours for maximum impact.
- Minimum Post Age: Ensure only truly "old" content is refreshed. Set a limit (e.g., 90 days) so newer posts stay in their original place.
If you have the SiteLinx Social Suite installed, revived posts are treated as brand new events. This automatically triggers re-sharing to your Google Business Profile and other social platforms.
2. How the Revival Logic Works
The plugin uses a sophisticated, SEO-safe method to refresh your content without risking data loss.
- Intelligent Selection: The system identifies the oldest published post that meets your "Minimum Age" criteria.
- Published Date Update: It updates the timestamp to the current moment, naturally pushing it to the top of your RSS and blog feeds.
- Integrity Preservation: Content, images, and comments remain untouched. Only the date signal is refreshed.
