Content Engine

The complete guide to automating your WordPress content and rewriting existing posts with centralized Cloud AI.

Overview

SiteLinx Content Engine is a powerful AI-driven automation tool that researches, writes, and publishes full-length blog posts. It can also revitalize your existing archive by rewriting outdated content for better SEO performance.

Installation Required? If you haven't installed the plugin yet, please follow our Getting Started Guide for step-by-step instructions on license activation.

Free Trial & Licensing

The plugin includes a built-in trial to let you test the AI output before upgrading.

1

Trial Limits

Generate or rewrite up to 5 posts for free. Free trial license key is needed for these initial credits.

2

Upgrading to Pro

When the 5-post limit is reached, a Red Banner will appear. Purchase a Pro key from the Pricing Section and paste it into the Settings field to unlock unlimited access.

Global Configuration

Configure the AI persona to match your specific brand voice and local market under AI Writer/Rewriter > Settings.

Prompt Modes

  • Optimized Default: Our SEO-engineered prompt. Enter your Area Name (e.g., Chicago), Business Name, and Target Keywords to let the AI weave them naturally into every post.
  • Custom Prompt: Switch to this mode for full control. You can instruct the AI to use specific tones (humorous, technical) or formatting styles.

Post Type Support

Control where the AI tools appear by enabling specific post types (Posts, Pages, or custom types). By default, only "Posts" are active.

Auto-Posting Queue

The queue is your hands-off automation center. Simply provide titles, and the Cloud Engine handles the rest.

Importing Content

  • Manual Titles: Paste a list of titles (one per line) directly into the queue.
  • RSS Feed Import: Paste a feed URL and set a frequency (e.g., Daily). The plugin will automatically "grab" new trending titles and add them to the generation list.

Scheduling & Volume

Define exactly when posts go live. Set the frequency (Hourly, Daily, etc.), select specific days of the week, and choose the exact hour of publication based on your site's timezone.

Content Rewriting

Refresh your old content while maintaining the original URL and SEO link equity.

A

Single Rewrite

Use the "Rewrite Post" button found in the standard WordPress "Publish" box (top right) of any post.

B

Bulk Rewriter

Navigate to "All Posts" and click "Rewrite All Posts". This processes your entire archive in the background. You can exclude specific IDs or URLs that you don't want the AI to touch.

Smart SEO Tools

Tags Override

Found under AI Writer/Rewriter > Tags Override. This tool scans your content to replace messy taxonomies with clean, professional, SEO-friendly tags.

Bulk Featured Images

Ensure no post is visually empty. You can use Automatic Mode (random library images) or Image Bank Mode (cycle through a pre-approved pool of visual assets).

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Why isn't the Auto-Poster posting?
WordPress relies on site visits to trigger tasks (WP-Cron). If your traffic is low, the queue may pause. Solution: Set up a server-side cron job to ping wp-cron.php every 15 minutes.
Does rewriting change the URL slug?
No. The AI rewrites the content and the Title, but the permalink remains exactly the same to protect your existing search rankings.
Can I use this for Pages or Custom Posts?
Yes. Go to the Global Settings page and check the boxes for "Page" or your specific CPT under "Enabled Post Types."
What happens if a bulk process stops?
All bulk tools are "resume-capable." If the server times out, simply refresh and start again; the system will skip posts it has already finished.
